Itulinks Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 November 2026

These Terms are a contract between you and Pereowei Itu, a sole trader trading as Itulinks, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Nigeria ("Itulinks", "we", "us"). They cover itulinks.com, the Itulinks dashboard, and artist and release pages on itul.ink (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Takedown Policy.

1. Who can use Itulinks

1.1 You must be 18 or older to hold an account.

1.2 An artist aged 13 to 17 may have a page only if a parent, legal guardian or manager aged 18+ creates and holds the account and accepts these Terms for them.

1.3 Nobody under 13 may use the Service or have a page. If we learn that a page belongs to a child under 13, we will delete it.

1.4 If you act for a label, management company or other business, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it to these Terms.

1.5 If you create or run a page for an artist, you confirm that you have the artist's permission. We may ask for written proof at any time and may hand the page to the artist.

2. Your account

2.1 Give accurate details and keep your password secret. You're responsible for everything done through your account.

2.2 Tell us at once at hello@itulinks.com if you think someone else has access to it.

2.3 Accounts may not be sold, rented or transferred without our written consent.

2.4 We'll send you emails needed to run your account, such as sign-up confirmations, password resets, security alerts and notice of changes to these Terms. These aren't marketing, so they continue while you have an account. Marketing emails are separate and only sent if you opt in.

3. Names and links

3.1 Artist names (itul.ink/yourname) and release links (itul.ink/your-link) are licensed to you, not owned by you.

3.2 Some names are reserved, including platform words and well-known artists and brands. A reserved name can be claimed only after we verify that you are entitled to it.

3.3 Disputes are decided in this order:

  • (a) a registered trademark or a court order;
  • (b) a verified artist over an unverified account;
  • (c) otherwise, first come, first served.

3.4 We may reclaim or change a name or link that:

  • impersonates someone, or misleads fans;
  • infringes a trademark;
  • is reserved for our own use;
  • has had no logins or visits for 12 months. In that case we will first give 30 days' notice by email.

3.5 Names may not be sold, auctioned or traded.

4. Verification

4.1 We don't check identity at sign-up. We may ask for verification at any time, for example if a page appears to impersonate someone, a name is reserved, or we receive a complaint.

4.2 Verification may involve proving control of the artist's official social or streaming accounts.

4.3 We may limit or suspend a page until verification is complete.

5. Your content and the licence you give us

5.1 You keep all rights in the names, photos, artwork, text and links you add ("Your Content").

5.2 You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display, format and transmit Your Content, only as needed to run and show your pages, previews and link previews on other sites. This includes showing your page with any advertising permitted under section 8.

5.3 Marketing (opt-in only). If you switch on "Feature me", you also let us show your name, photo and pages in our own marketing (website, social media, pitch decks). You can switch this off at any time. We will stop new uses within 14 days, but we don't have to withdraw material already published.

5.4 The licences end when you delete the content or your account, except for:

  • copies held in backups for up to 30 days;
  • copies already cached by third parties (such as social media link previews);
  • anything we must keep by law.

5.5 You confirm that:

  • you own, or have permission to use, everything you upload, including cover art and photos;
  • Your Content doesn't infringe anyone's rights or break any law;
  • it follows section 7.

6. Music services and other third parties

6.1 Release pages link to services we don't run, such as Spotify, Apple Music, Audiomack, Boomplay, YouTube, Deezer and TIDAL.

6.2 We match releases automatically, and matching can be wrong or incomplete. Check your links before you share them.

6.3 Itulinks is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any platform shown on the Service. Platform names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify where music can be played.

6.4 We aren't responsible for third-party services, their content, or changes they make that stop a link from working.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

  • (a) impersonate any person, artist, label or brand, or suggest an affiliation that doesn't exist;
  • (b) share or link to infringing content, including leaked, pirated or unreleased music you don't control;
  • (c) link to phishing, malware, scams, fake giveaways, "stream-to-earn" or investment schemes, or anything designed to collect passwords or payment details;
  • (d) post hate speech, harassment, threats or content that promotes violence or self-harm;
  • (e) share sexual content involving anyone under 18, or non-consensual intimate imagery. We report this to the authorities;
  • (f) promote illegal goods or services, or gambling where it isn't allowed;
  • (g) send fake or automated traffic, or otherwise manipulate your analytics or anyone else's;
  • (h) claim names you don't intend to use, or claim names in order to sell them;
  • (i) scrape, overload, probe or attack the Service, get around its limits or security, or access other people's accounts;
  • (j) break any law that applies to you, including the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act 2015.

We check links against public lists of unsafe sites. We may block a link, page or account that breaks these rules without notice when we believe there's a risk to fans or to the Service.

8. Plans, pricing and advertising

8.1 The artist plan is free.

8.2 Paid features, and custom work for labels and managers, will be offered on separate terms shown before you pay (price, billing period, renewal, cancellation and refunds). For custom work, a written agreement (email is enough) sets the scope and price. If it conflicts with these Terms, it prevails for that work.

8.3 Advertising. We may show limited advertising or sponsored messages on free plans, including on artist pages. We will:

  • not use third-party advertising trackers on artist pages without the visitor's consent;
  • never show adult, gambling or political ads next to your content;
  • let you remove ads by upgrading once paid plans are available.

9. Analytics and fan data

9.1 We collect basic, privacy-friendly analytics on your pages (see the Privacy Policy) and show them to you.

9.2 We may publish or share aggregated, de-identified statistics, for example "Audiomack is the top platform in Ghana". We will share statistics that identify you as an artist only with your permission.

9.3 Our data firewall. The owner of Itulinks also runs a record label. We promise that Itulinks data about artists, their pages and their fans is never used for that label's A&R, signing, marketing or advertising decisions, and is never shared with it. Only the Itulinks operator can access it, and only to run the Service.

9.4 When you collect fan data. When features like email capture, tracking pixels or pre-saves let you collect data about your fans:

  • you are the controller of that data and we are your processor;
  • Schedule 1 (Data Processing Terms) applies;
  • for tracking pixels on your page, you and we are joint controllers for collecting and transmitting the data, and you're responsible for having a lawful basis for your own use of it.

10. Copyright complaints

If you believe something on Itulinks infringes your rights, follow our Takedown Policy. We suspend accounts that infringe repeatedly (Copyright Act 2022, s.56).

11. Suspension and closing your account

11.1 You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. Your pages stop working straight away. You can restore your account by logging in within 30 days; after that your content is erased, apart from the limited record described in the Privacy Policy.

11.2 We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, if:

  • you break these Terms;
  • the law requires it;
  • there's a risk to fans, artists or the Service.

Where it's reasonable and safe, we will tell you why, and you can reply to hello@itulinks.com to appeal.

11.3 Sections 5.4, 9.3 and 12 to 16 survive termination.

12. Changes

We may change the Service and these Terms. For material changes we will give at least 14 days' notice in the dashboard or by email, unless the change is required by law or for security. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept it.

13. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind: uptime, accuracy of matching or analytics, or that links will always work.

14. Limit of liability

14.1 To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost streams, income, opportunities, goodwill or data.

14.2 For the free Service, our total liability for all claims is limited to ₦50,000. For paid services, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

14.3 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that can't be limited by law.

15. Indemnity

You will compensate us for losses and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your Content;
  • your breach of these Terms;
  • your breach of anyone else's rights;
  • your use of fan data you collect.

16. Law and disputes

16.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

16.2 We will first try to resolve any dispute informally by email for 30 days.

16.3 If that fails, the dispute goes to the courts of Bayelsa State, or to the Federal High Court where it has exclusive jurisdiction (for example, intellectual property).

16.4 If you're a consumer living outside Nigeria, you keep any rights your local law gives you to bring claims where you live.

16.5 If Itulinks becomes a company. We plan to register Itulinks as a company. When we do, we may transfer these Terms and your account to that company. Your rights won't be reduced, and we'll tell you by email.
